I agree with you Tony. Thing is, if the competition was able to ramp up with quality, you would be able to buy that 'system console' for a bit less! No different from what Lexus did to the German luxury car makes when the LS400 came out in 1989 for 35K. All of a sudden the German makes started focusing on 'value'.

I think the supply side will be improve pretty soon. I think you know that AMD's cpus will be processed in IBM's FAB, and Cyrx's CPU will be processed in TSMC's FAB pretty soon,
and the next one maybe Samsung's fabs. There are lots of fab capacities in the Far East.
Say , with 0.35 um technology, and 8" wafer, each wafer probably will yield 150 good dies,
so for fab with capacity of 40000 8" wafers output per month , it ca produce 72 MM good
dies. I think the supply is more than enough to flood the market.
