"There has been a problem getting enough phones."

So much for the notion that NXTL has i600 inventory in quantity. ADVANTAGE NEXTEL. (And high 1st qtr. add figures.)

When a user talks to 100 others on direct connect, do all have to pay per second?

If so, this feature could be very expensive. After the first few bills come in, there could be many disconnects. Competition doesn't have direct connect, thus, no chance of getting billed for mass time.

It should be noted, that under old analog or SMR wireless communications that allow dispatch, all listen, but only one pays.

If I am right, don't know if I am, Nextel's proprietary system may be neat, but un-monitored use could get real expensive.

I got the word, McCaw won't sell in the near future. I might have to modify my "by year end prediction" More soon, don't fall asleep.

One note: Read the Bear Sterns and other reports, all talked about borrowing. That's my topic. Isn't it odd that it would be addressed as a potential problem to the future value of the stock. It means that this is serious and is of concern, analysts want to be on record of mention. Celebrate now, but, be weary of the future.
