Dear fyi - thx for the insight. PTUS essentially is a factory type setup. Practically, most tool makers, PTUS and VIAS included, are trying to spin their respective tools to be more than Y2K specific. Euro currency, SSN and ZIP expansions etc. I mean, while Y2K is a serious and costly problem, the days of its hype are over. If everyone stuck to structured methodologies in the past 30 yrs, resolutions would be a lot easier. But no amount of intelligence can overcome years spagetti programming. There are many other cos actually making decent tools, but they choose not to get painted as a Y2K co. IMHO, its mgt has chosen to enter the fray, so it got lump together with the tar babies. I do believe ISLI deserves more respect (I ve a GTC open to go long.) rgds Bosco
