In reading the press release about the extension to select a drug from Lilly, I am confused. The release states if Lgnd doesn't select a drug, Lily buys $20M in Lgnd shares at 20% premium (Lgnd will make approx $3M plus stock dilution). If Lgnd selects a drug then they get the drug but must pay Lilly $20M in stock also? I don't remember ever reading this part before. It looks like Lilly makes out big regardless of Lgnd's decision.
