It is ceratinly good to see DELL working to maintain their growth
path. WALMART certainly pushed growth long beyond the expectation
of many folks. However, the country eventually became overstored
with COSTCO, BJs, etc. How succesful DELL will be in selling to
"Businesses, education, and government " over the INTERNET remains
to be seen. These orgainzations typically have purchasing regulations
and procedures that may preclude direct purchase over the INTERNET.
Near triple digit growth rates are hard to maintain as you
become the big player in the market, unless the market is growing at
that rate (a la AOL)
Look at:
Oxford Health Plans
Bay Networks
Qualcomm

Jeffrey,

Some additional thoughts;

DELL has really been balancing a lot of their growth on the backs
of cheap labor in SOUTHEAST ASIA. Sooner or later, that will come
to an end and the tables may turn. Just in time may become more
expensive as opposed to the current situation where components just
keep getting cheaper, much based on currency destruction in KOREA,
INDONESIA, etc.

Also, the stock seemed to get overvalued even if growth can be
maintained in the pre-split euphoria.

Dave
