John, could CDMA in US be ahead of GSM camp? Nice catch IF subscriber numbers in article are correct. Thanks for posting.
Seems to me we are in the middle of a PR GSM blitzkrieg and our guys are laying kind of low. Ramsey, now that you are back in the motherland, run on up the street and tell the Q guys it's time to come out of the bunkers! Mike Doyle

Mixed bag really. In Houston, it was PCS CDMA first and TDMA cellular first (with them being first overall). Having said that, the cellular TDMA is met with mix response by it's users. Seems they still prefer the analog for penetration and coverage. Less dropped calls. PCS CDMA had the dubious honor of local only. Now the push is on with dual mode coverage. Most folks that I know that have used both, prefer CDMA. You now have TDMA and CDMA in both spectrums in Houston.

Frankly I'm waiting for the test by independents like Consumer Report to start on this.
