I really like NT 4.0 and find that very reliable (well lets say "I" personally have not had a problem with it). I use it both at work for development as well as at home for personal use.

As for "Sun banking on a period of confusion following CPQ-DEC merger to consolidate its growth in the enterprise", I am not sure if Sun is "banking" on it, but I think it will make an attempt to take advantage of the situation. In my humble opinion the big winner in this confusion period will be HP and not Sun as DEC customers will be looking for a place for their NT demands.
