Hi all - A simple question -how are the till maps generated? Where the basement pokes above ground it is obvious but how is the depth of till determined for these maps. Are they simply extrapolated from the little known info that is available? Can you determine the till depth by aero-magnetics? I remember as a kid I could see maps of the ocean floor in books-but I later found out they were 90% guess work. Could these till maps be the same? As an engineer -I can't think of how these would be accurately produced. Any takers? Any "Geophisicists" out there <grin>. JP
