Zeuspaul, The entire argument is a joke. Fugazi said pick one - something great or the sky will fall. I said the former (and LGND's price did rise). I guess that some think that the sky fell today (maybe it did on the credibility of someone).

If it was just one off-hand comment, I would agree with you, but there was a lot of discussion this weekend about what 'wait until Monday' meant, yet some posters revel in the speculation that is caused by the clear message that 'something great is going to happen Monday. Its all a question of credibility as there was ample time to clear up the 'confusion' -- it shouldn't have taken until Monday, should it? The sequence of events is clear. If you follow the links, you'll see what I mean: Speculation: "Did ligand take the money and run or did they select a drug? Some seemed to be confident that we'd learn of their decision this week.
