I remember Vinik got out of techs and put that money to work in bonds. He got out of tech a little too early and was made fun of when techs went beserk in the Apr/May specualtive frenzy.

Do you remember what happened to techs in July? His move didn't look so bad then, but of course he was long gone from Fidelity.

I think he got an unfair rap, his performance has been enviable since.
