i would not touch cpq until near 20, i do not think the acquisition of dec or tandem was a wise move, they should have consulted with gary and purchased asnd. i will never recommend cpq pc's, the price is higher and to much is proprietary design (sounds like aapl).

csco now worries me with a luke warm warning on japan and europe. they are usually slow in introducing technology.

sunw - with ms breathing fire, i would worry.

intc - clear monopoly, they purchased the dec alpha chip technology, no real competition, i believe this is the best stock of the 4 you mention. institutions love love this stock. if they could master producing low cost chips, they would dominate everywhere. when will the high-end pc market take off?

i would only purchase intc of the 4 stocks. if you are a long term investoor it will not matter when you purchase intc, it will eventually go back up and over a 100, and sooner than ko did after when it was in malaise for 10 years.

thank you yesterday for answering my oi question, i keep forgetting to thank you.
