Don't think so Hank.

..and here is one reason. As you can see demand is rather healthy it is the 'planning' that is out of whack.

re Statements by DELL officers and executives

Hank, FWIW, I've been DELLish since OCT 95, and there are others here who've been around a good bit longer. To my knowledge, in that time, no DELL officer or executive has ever issued an untrue statement or even a potentially misleading one. In fact, the private analyst meeting today is the first time that the management has in any way behaved in a way that I found less than absolutely straight-forward.

For those who may be new to this thread, one of the things that sets Michael Dell and his company apart is their concern for shareholder value.

Because of their track record, I trust them. I am sure that they had good reason for the meeting today, and good reason for the manner in which it was conducted. Still, as a shareholder -- read owner -- I agree completely with the others on the thread that all of us should have the same access to corporate information that any particular special interest group or analysts get.

Regards, 3.
