Yep we see it about the same..it's a do or die thingy, if they
round the corner they will do real good <G> But I think they see
that too..and are going to do all they can to get into the
high end server sector and be able to offer a broad range
of products to clinets,, were the corporation can do like
one stop shopping and get support with it..If they don't its
a slow death. But CPQ knows how to pull the rabbits out of
the hat..I would never have thought so, but I saw her
turn around in 92..heck I was building boxes at the time
myself and forcast her death, but she fooled me, and
she ain't done to bad since.
Seems like when things get tough on her is when she winds
up doing the best.

DEC, CPQ, and SQNT...and my Kahuna post for the day.

any opinion regarding Sequent?
biz.yahoo.com

...and now for a Kahuna post...

misc bearish links which were over on
Roger's 1998 shorts thread

biz.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com
biz.yahoo.com
gold-eagle.com

and my response

Appreciate all the links, I'll post them
on the Kahuna thread too. Global
deflation is looking more like an
important phenomenon with each passing
day. Hopefully this will not lead to
a global recession--SEA is enough, we
dont need the oil-producing countries
going down the tubes. Gosh, even
Norway is at risk with crude so low.

Back on topic, my short is MSFT (tho
I just have a handful of puts). However
I dread the day Microsoft warns, sure my
puts will soar, but it's always sickening
when the curbs kick in. Also hard to make
money betting against, when you know folks
are losing. Saw my pop's growth fund holdings:
Dell, Microsoft, Intel, Compaq, thank god
his money "manager" has overdiversified
him in five funds, only one of which is
growth. What kind of a person charges a
1% fee, only to buy funds for his client?!
Those so-called money managers are theives,
many of them.
