Ben has it right. Just think of how you tend to react when trading a stock. Say you want to buy a stock. You check the price and it is down a point. Do you say what a good deal and jump in. The tendency is to think there is something wrong that someone is selling the stock at a lower price. If it was a six-pack you would have bought a case. The MMs play that kind of game with us all day. Sell off in sympathy, my eye! It was just an excuse.
