Sunw has seen its high price for the 98 year already. It will probably trade between 30-45 for the rest of the year. Sunw is looking more and more like Apple. They are going for an increasingly small market niche, i.e. engineering workstations while the surrounding market explodes without them. How long before their market cap falls below 10 B? This year perhaps? Also, sunw is resting on its laurels from the past, and doesn't appear to have much going on in terms of new ideas or research. In short, sunw looks more and more like a marginal player. I think the days of sunw being considered just a notch below the big three (INTC, MSFT, CSCO) are probably over. Congrats to everyone on this thread for calling the fall almost to the day. I sold covered calls on my position but in retrospect I would have done much much better just selling my position and buying puts on Sunw. Oh well, live and learn. Hopefully sunw will get back above 40 for another chance at some cheap puts. Unless sunw gets bought out or adopts some new leaders/ideas it looks like a good short anywhere above 40... If sunw has earnings difficulty it could really collapse big time. Short term it is oversold, but long term it has no obvious bottom.
