I think the key point is that Corel is going to make its software one
hundred percent compatible with Microsoft's Office. Sort of like AMD and Intel. This strategy could be profitable. AMD did not do well until computer users realized that the residual value of an old computer was zero. Similarly, if Corel-made documentation is compatible, why not go the cheap route.

Of course, on the downside Corel has never stayed with a policy for very long. I'm not buying until genuine profits are in evidence.
