New Release....Dark City.

'Dark City' has the look and some of the feel of 'Brazil' the popular SF film of the late 80's. This is a film you see for the nuances which play by like fever ridden memories of something you dreamed the last time you were taken down by a bad flue. William Hurt plays a police detective looking for a serial murderer in a world that nobody can particularly remember clearly....

You have to like this kind of noir sf and be gentle on a judgement of the plot. The film like the city can be paper thin....but sf movies expect that of you don't they?

I enjoyed it. There are some neat scenes and the overall concept is interesting if not particularly cerebral.

regaards,

mnmuench

Hi James
I just saw In and Out. Was not very impressed. It would have been a much funnier movie if he had not been gay. I am tired of social message movies. With all the hoo hah over this movie I thought it might be different, and actually be satirical, witty, and funny. but what was I thinking? This is a Hollywood movie.
