The rock group U2 is stranded on one side of a bridge at night. They all need to get to the other side because they have a concert starting in 17 minutes. The problem is this: The bridge only will support 2 people at a time. It is night and they have a flashlight which is needed to get across safely. The bridge is much to long to throw the flashlight across to the other members stranded on the other side so it needs to be carried over. Each man walks at a different pace. Bono takes 1 minute to cross Adam takes 2 mins to cross Larry takes 5 mins to cross Edge takes 10 min to cross When 2 people cross the bridge they have to walk at the slower mans pace. How can they do this and still make the concert in 17 min. Remember you need a flashlight to step on the bridge. Tmoore
