Jeff, you still didn't address the point about the statement you made AFTER the Compaq news broke on Friday, in which you said that DELL would tank. It doesn't seem to me that you really went out on a limb on that one. Address Doug's point, or refrain from heralding the obvious.

Doug Fowler's post to you:

<<I told all you DELL bulls that this split could not have come at a worse time!>>

Yes, you told us this on Friday, March 6, AFTER Compaq warned and Dell was lower in after-hours trading.

Any moron would know Dell would go down after Compaq warned.

If you are so good, why not commit to a stock price for Dell six months down the road?

Jeff:

I called you on the fact that you made a prediction about Dell AFTER Compaq released its warning.

You were bragging about how smart you thought you were, telling people you told them so, when you had done so only AFTER negative news was released. That is very easy to do - sort of like the weatherman saying it is going to snow after it has already started, but never having predicted it even the day before.

Your assumption that I am a bull on Dell was that only. I am neither a bull or a bear when it comes to Dell, as I see both opportunities and risks with this stock at this point. The company is very strong, but is share price is expensive.

For the record, I do have a few hundred shares purchased in the mid-sixties.

Why don't you state your position? That way, we'll all be able to see how smart or dumb (or lucky) you are over the coming months.
