Regarding short, yes your advice is wise. I first though about moving short when the Dow hit 6000, but was wary of the market. Now though (famous last words) I think it is different. We are in a crazed market, really. These boards are an interesting window on the sentiment. I am prepared to take a managed approach to being short as with being long. But if you turn it on it's head, from a short perspective there are a great number of selling opportunities out there. Obviously it is a contrarian view, otherwise the Dow would not be at 8600. If we see a clip of 8900 in a day, I will cover everything - currently at a profit - and wait for 9,200.
ACLY, PSFT, SEBL, ITWO and (just) AOL. Year 2000 stocks offer a great opportunity IMO and I will be short some more over the next 6 months.
