John, W Please bear with me, an error in my calculation of MU eps. The number should be ...-$.37. This is based on an ASP of $3.74 for 70% SDRAM and 30%DRAM...and a manufacturing cost of $2.75 for 16mb Chips. 64mb asp was calculated at $25.25 with an estimated manufacturing cost of $20.(really a guess) Also assumes 10% 64mb chips, and 90% 16mb chips shipped during 2Q98. If the 64mb chips shipped were higher... than the loss will be less. ( Also assumed that the 10% 64mb is not actual number of chips but rather 10% of bit production...which means 1/4 the number of chips or 2.5%). Boy I bet that is as clear as mud.:-) Sorry John, also does not include one time gains and charges...and MUEI is assumed at breakeven(even though I suspect a $.05 to .10 loss) DavidG
