i believe that those protective films, and combinations thereof, are the kind that msc is developing. by the way, after reviewing my notes of my first conversation with my source at msc, he said that he thought that the whole process of development should take about 2 years, so that would put product commercialization in the mid 1999 timeframe. also, another source has told me that msc believes that the 1% market penetration factor that rfi has cited is way too low. however, i cannot confirm that.

Thanks for publishing Joe Harary's response. I wasn't aware when I first read it that it was from Joe and I was about to congratulate you on your incredible knowledge of SPD.

I particularly enjoyed hearing the history of SPD and of course seeing the words << our commercial scale up!>>
