carter, the CNBC reporter was talking specifically about AMZN, "No earnings means no disappointments!", and generally about Internet stocks. His comment was sarcastic!

re:AOL. CNBC just mentioned that AOL is selling at 50 times year 2000 earnings! My guess: CNBC will really rip AMZN, AOL, etc. later today. BTW, AOL splits on March 16th. I have been predicting a drop next week based on this split (see my posts before the split was announced) ... but I thought the stock would be dropping from about 110. Wow!
