I would guess that there may be the odd case here and there. I haven't ever heard of one. Do you have any examples? The best I can recall is a fellow who got $98 of a $1700.00 loss. I can't for the life of me recall the company.

True enough. But the reality is that it's usually the lawyers and insurance companies that make the big bucks because of cases like this.
