I was just watching CNBC during lunch time. There was a talk about beaten down tech stock. Guess who made the list, JBIL, FLEXF, SMOD, SLR, SANM. Bill Griffith was saying that the entire sector has been beaten down for no apparent reason.

Soon the street will look at this sector too. BTW, SANM was reiterated by DLJ and stock is up 4+.

Does SLR report this Wed. after the close???? They have been a great barometer for JBIL and always seem to report a week ahead. Whatever SLR does, JBIL does it better IMO. Last quarter's uncertainty prior to earnings lead us to discover that there can easily be a shift of cost to asian or offshore plants. I do not know wheather there is much european business, but ther doesn't seem to be any lack of growth there, and perhaps more than enough to offset asian contamination. JBIL is not cpq or dell or seg or any other commodity driven co with swelling inventory and margin squeeeezes. That has been the mo of many of the earnings shortfalls recently.

I went to the Devil Rays spring training game Saturday night-one of the guys in the group was laid off from JBIL-said between 100-150! Asked are there any problems-he didn't seem to think there were.

Troy,

That Rosemary44 is me on Yahoo, and I have a friend who will confirm any questions about layoffs at JBIL this evening. Milken is a shorter who has shown up this morning when the stock began its climb again.

If he was on that site before, I never saw him post before. It was also me who heard about the IBM order they were working on. I will have more info on both subjects this evening. Someone else just posted who said they work for JBIL and there have not been any layoffs.

Going to a conference this soon to reporting earnings is usually a good sign. When they don't have something good to say, they don't go.

It's not working for the shorters, JBIL looks like its started its march towards earnings now. And if we've picked up some more shorters with bad timing, that's good for us when they start covering again.
