To All, I received this fax from the company today. I don't have a scanner so I will highlight as much as I have time for. Michael Skopos, P. Geologist is pleased to announce excellent progress is being made reopening Chandeleur's highly regarded North Fork Mine, located in the richest and most productive portion of the Northern California Mother Lode Gold Belt. The Company is rehabilitating the North Fork 13 degrees decline which accesses approximately 6,000 feet of underground workings, 90 feet of the portal has been timbered and the total advance to date is 400 feet. The last 200 feet of the decline accessed is a good sized heading 7'x 10' with no timbering needed. The Company is targeting both the virgin rich Bald Mountain Tertiary Auriferous gravel channels and the 9(nine) lode quartz veins reported back in the 1930's. An additional target will be an undeveloped zone reported to contain 100,000 tons averaging 0.75 0z. gold/ton occurring on three levels of the mine. The North Fork Properties since the 1850's have had excellent past gold production valued at to-day's gold prices in excess of $20,000,000.00. Some of the largest and finest gold nuggets in the world have been recovered, 12(twelve) gold nuggets running in size from 30 to 170 ounces were yielded from North Fork Properties (Source- Gold Districts of California, 1971) These nuggets are rare collectors and museum caliber specimens commanding a premium value. HIGHLIGHTS The North Fork Properties adjoin the world class; 16 to 1, Brush Creek Ruby, and Oriental Gold Mines. The rich Bald Mountain Placers paid 45 years of dividends. The original 16 to 1 mine paid an average of 109% annual dividend. The Bald Mountain channel goes through the North Fork mineral claims consisting of approximately 1370 acres. In addition to the placer potential, historical data indicates substantial lode gold mineralization. UNIQUE COMPLEX GEOLOGY: Three major rock types: sediments, granites and volcanics. 1. 9 lode quartz ledges, with 2 of the ledges up to 40 feet wide. Structurally these quartz ledges occur at the nose or axle of a fold, all within an 800 foot width. The ores dip both east and west with the quartz ledges occurring at the rock contacts. 2. Simple vein mineralogy, often with free milling gold. Favorable gangue minerals in the veins include mariposite, graphitc, talc, sercite, and chlorite. The most favorable site for these minerals is within the ribbon quartz. 3. Class of ore deposits known as Bonanza-Mesothermal Shear Veins, Extremely high grade ore shoots present. Persistence to great depth. 4. Tectonic regional controls along major crusial sutures. FAVORABLE LOGISTICS: 1. County road runs through the property. 2. Access to the North Fork Mine Portal is along a secondary road following the P.G.& E. power line. 3. Ample timber exists on the property for mine timbers. 4. Water for diamond drilling is readily available. 5. Experienced miners and mining equipment and services are available in close proximity to the North Fork. NEW TECHNOLOGY: In order to enhance the future surface and underground exploration and development program the company has utilized the computer Mapick's Vulcan Software package generating a three dimensional model of its North Fork Mine and properties. In addition the company will utilize sophisiticated metal detectors which have proven effevtive in neighboring Brush Creek and 16 to 1 Mines.
