I see a high % of the posts expecting AMAT to go lower. My personal opinion is that the downside is very limited. I think there is a 5 point max downside potential in the next month or so, after that I expect that we will see a reaction similar to the last time it bumped down to 26 when the stock jumped to low 30's then to high 30's. At some point analyst's will be satisfied with the valuation and feel more comfortable going forward.

To those of you expecting a longer or harder downturn, lets hear some predictions of prices and time frames. Does anyone argue that long term (over 6 months) these prices are not attractive? Time frame doesn't always seem to be mentioned, but is obviously a key component of everyone's opinion. It would be helpful to hear what everyone is thinking in this regard.

It is just as easy to miss an upturn as it is to miss a quick downturn. I'm sure no one wants to try to call the bottom too closely only to miss out on the next big upturn. What could help trigger a big upturn? I realize things are very iffy right now, but lets hear some predictions anyway.

I am beginning to see the phenomena that is often seen as a stock rockets higher where every jumps on and the stock can do no wrong. It looks like this is happening in reverse. Very similar to the last time AMAT was headed down to the high 20's.
