If the H $ S pattern is complete and the neckline is then broken to the downside it suggests much lower prices...
I have formulas that calculate how low but haven't figured it for Intel yet...

Monaco, re: "what is the theoretical next move after the chart completes the "head and shoulders"?"

Good question. First I am not one of the TA dudes on this tread. Perhaps one of these will reply seriously to your question. I guess the h/s thing is to make pictures of little people in the history chart. If this is right then - hmmm - looks like a left shoulder was made in 1995. Perhaps this means we need a "right" shoulder at 30 bucks per share? Oh God, I hope not!

I am a digital sort of guy and have often observed that the Intel chart resembles the digital signals on which it makes its business, sharp ups and downs with a little noise thrown in. I like this look better as it implies that we are looking to a sharp move back to 95.

In fact I am a fundamentalist and believe that the stock price will reflect Intel's business performance. As to the here and now, this requires execution on three fronts:

1. Foremost - Excellent execution on the new PII server business

2. Standoff on the desktop - hold desktop share while keeping 50% margins.

3. Other business excellence - Make a success of networking, graphics and flash.
