Bill,

In your ZONA scenario (c):
>c) Lending out a lot of stock, and then selling a little at a time...generating a short
squeeze by effectively calling in shares, and then selling them back to the same short
sellers who are trying to cover!

Who's buying the stock from the sellers? Someone must be left with the stock in their account. Are there still longs out there?

Alan

Bill,

I am inclined to agree with you on this hypothesis. My data has shown a consistant negative money flow yet the price remains inflated. It makes sense that a large holder is doing every trick in the book to get their money back before letting the price drop. We may see a spike to the upside of between 1-3 pts but then it's all over IMO. No sweat by me. If it goes up, I keep shorting as long as there are shares to borrow.
