Pierre; a little more complete breakdown on Sonora: Miranda Industries Inc. (VSE:MAD) Issued & Outstanding: 8,254,300 Shares Phone: (604) 689-1659 Fax: (604) 689-1722 Web: senategroup.com Symbol: MAD.V Form 20F: 0-27760 March 11, 1998 First Phase Exploration Results Sonora, Mexico The Company wishes to announce partial results from its ongoing exploration program on the Sonora Project. To date there have been four discrete zones of mineralization identified on the property through geologic mapping and rock sampling. Bulk tonnage potential may exist in at least three of the four areas, while the fourth area may have potential to host a high-grade vein structure. The most significant geochem soil anomalies received to date for gold (cutoff 50 ppb) are listed below: 1. 800 metres by 350 metres averaging 200 ppb in 54 samples with a high of 1,110 ppb; 2. 450 metres by 150 metres averaging 100 ppb in 23 samples with a high of 228 ppb; 3. 350 metres by 60 metres averaging 290 ppb in 6 samples with a high of 1,173 ppb; 4. 450 metres by 50 metres averaging 407 ppb in 7 samples with a high of 1,102 ppb. The geologic environment has been mapped as an intrusive complex composed of granodiorite, porphyritic quartz monzonite, latite porhyry and intrusive breccias. The complicated structural setting as interpreted by magnetic, geochemical, topographic and geologic data suggests the project incorporates a large circular feature. The feature is 3.0 km by 2.0 km with two smaller internal semi-circular features. The main feature is partially defined by the Amethyst Zone which strikes for 1.5 km and is defined by gold soil anomalies of up to 1.11 grams gold per tonne. The Amethyst Zone has surface expressions of significant quartz/amethyst breccias with rock chip grades up to 3 grams gold/tonne and 254 grams silver/tonne (soil anomaly 2). Also along this circular feature is the Lucy Zone trending north-northwest with select high-grade rock samples carrying gold and silver values exceeding 28 grams gold/tonne and over 500 grams silver/tonne (soil anomaly 4). This data supports a possibly important high-grade vein structure at Lucy. The Chaos Zone is one of the smaller inset semi-circular zones defined by the largest soil anomaly listed above (soil anomaly 1). This area, with well-defined structures of various types, contains high-grade select vein samples exceeding 10 grams gold/tonne and over 500 grams silver/tonne. The property now covers an area of 3800 hectares and this first phase of exploration covered approximately 700 hectares.
