jtechkid: Andrew Corp. warns after the close. This is a NASDAQ 100 company and an S&P 500 company: a billion dollar producer of telecom equipt for the wireless industry. The evidence is mounting that the the sales growth for US companies in 1998 will fall short of expectations. Okay, Andrew's announcement is not on a par with INTC, MOT or CPQ; but, brick by brick, the foundation is being weakened. IMO, the DJIA, the S&P 500, the NDX and the IXIC are overextended. Productivity gains are coming in weaker. Let's check Thursday's consumer price activity. We may see a repeat of Mr. Greenspan's springtime massacre; he has given us warning. This would be especially troublesome for a sector like this one.
