He and several other traders also said U.S. stocks were simply overcome by the huge liquidity flows
from pension and mutual fund managers.

U.S. stock funds took in an estimated $1.29 billion in the three days ended March 5, for a monthly
rate of $9.6 billion, according to mutual fund flow tracking service Mutual Fund Trim Tabs.

This compares with estimated inflows of $385 million into equity funds in the two days ended March
2, it said.
