Hunter Vann,

Somehow I just knew you wouldn't like this deal. Look at the top of the release. It says "NAMX/UPR Release." Also NAMX working with UPR - talk about great exposure - UPR is desperate for a winner and NAMX is just the company to give them one. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW. As for the price closing lower, we all know the price is being manipulated - for me the lower it goes the more I buy!!!! So I wonder what MMs pay to bash NAMX?

Terry

Hunter,

I have read the release a number of times and basically I agree with your interpretation.
However, there are a few issues I want to bring up:

IF UPR deems the area profitable, then NAMX claims the exclusive rights to the particular area,

Why would UPR refuse to give NAMX exclusive rights to a particular area that UPR deems to be unprofitable?

To me, it would make sense that UPR would want to prevent NAMX from receiving exclusive rights to areas where UPR have reason to believe that there is oil/gas.
UPR would like the wildcatting to be done by NAMX.

They share in NONE of the expenses and get half the revenues.
(if there are any) One sweet deal indeed.

The old "deal" that obviously fell through, stated that
in order to get half the revenue for a particular well,
UPR would have to pay half the expenses and drilling costs for that well. My guess is that this still stands.
I don't think it's reasonable to assume that NAMX must pay 50% as
"landowners fee".

I agree that it's a "can't lose deal" for UPR and
a "possibly great deal" for NAMX.

The most important thing about this release is , at least IMO ,
that NAMX can talk about prospecting on UPR land and refer to
some form of exploration agreement. This gives the impression that UPR is accepting NAMX as a serious company. If UPR thought that NAMX was
another Bre-X, they would do anything to keep NAMX away.

So I liked today's release. It was maybe not financially
rewarding but may be improving NAMX' company image.
