Thank you My Captain! Best of Show pavilion, Well thats good details too me! Great report, and yes Clarent has good quality, that is why they are a competitor to keep an eye on. Of course, the education that Sean and Phil at FTEL gave me about our competition showed me that we are watching every move made in this industry. Right and for the folks talking about PR, every trade show in the business, is certainly an efficient use of our marketing budget!

Clarent, has not read the FTEL book:

Each Clarent Gateway is housed in a high-quality server powered by Intel
Pentium Pro CPUs running Microsoft Windows NT version 2.0. Our voice and fax interface cards are made by Natural MicroSystems and Brooktrout, respectively, the best suppliers in the industry. We support most interface
requirements: analog, T1, E1 and all flavors of ISDN, and Signaling System
#7. RAID-1 hard drive support and dual, hot-swapable power supplies (both
115/230-AC and ¤48vDC) make this a fault-tolerant server.

just think if they could do it all themselves Like FTEL does they would not be dependent on Suppliers. So in fact that don't have a Complete Solution!.

Thanks Gary, super report. I hope you are right about a San Jose show. Its right down the street from me. Sorry Peter was upset (more likely Frank) about the blabbing but I think we only told about half of what we saw and heard at the SHM and that was enough to get anyone excited!
