Then why didn't you say so in the first place!

You have danced completely around this issue.

AMD's K6 competes with Intel's 1993 technology Pentium (updated with MMX) but at a SIGNIFICANT COST disadvantage - 162 sq. mm (K6) vs. 128 sq. mm -Pentium MMX.

IF AMD ran at the same defect levels as Intel, AMD would lose every time.

But, AMD runs at horrendous defect levels.

So they still lose everytime - only BIG TIME!
