>How do you figure it was a key reversal?

because I covered my short position today.. that means it will
gap down 10% tomorrow at the open. :)

i called my broker and he didnt have any shares available to short, and this was around 3:45pm.. looks like I may have to sit the big decline on the sidelines.. i'll try again tomorrow, maybe some shares can be scrounged up..

Anyone listing to the news today? I had cnbc on and heard this while the stock was racing up to 92 and they were commenting on how the internet stocks were racing up while the other tech stocks were stalled: According to one analyst, " Many of the internet stocks aren't making any money anyway so they can't disappoint".

Now that's rational!!!!

But more interestingly, on the Dow Jones News wire, one of the Oppenheimer analyst commented (weren't these the same guys last week that called internet stocks 'safe havens'?) that there WERE some risks to internet stocks with the decline in pc sales. He further admitted that there IS competition in the internet industry (Really????!!!!).

Simons, from Digital Video Investments (anyone ever heard of them?) said, "The valuation metrics are different depending on who you talk to. It is a bet on market psychology rather than on fundamentals based on the notion of limitless potential."

For Keith...... The Robertson Stephens analyst also was quoted as saying that some companies still had room to to go up and cited XCIT, PTVL, and CNWK.

So are the analysts now trying to temper the expectations of investors? Just a week ago they were "safe havens". Looks to me like the big boys have gotten out of all their stock and have got their short positions in, so now we start hearing about the risks and any other news like a drop in first quarter ad spending, to take this down.

They now have to change investor sentiment. The public needs to sell so these guys can make the profits on the downside. What a racket!
