There was an article posted by me about the same time Creative anounced their Encore. In it the author commented that Cube as on the board. It's back in the archives of this thread but I'm to lazy to look for it.
It's easier for me to peel the DXR2 label of the card sitting here on my desk.

I own one. There is a reference to Cube on the
first page of the manual. The chips are covered
with creatives labels.
