<the scriptures were written thousands of years ago Chris. Many hands over the passage of time have shaped them.>

Why must you now deny the authenticity of the scriptures to justify the homosexual lifestyle? I am a firm believer that what the scriptures say today is the exact same as what they said back then. -Chris

God said He does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His attributes and character are set. What He said 2-3-4,000 years ago still applies today. God created all the universe, He is all powerful. He is fully able to keep His words intact and unaltered for those who seek the truth. Many cults change His word causing the loss of His promises for themselves and many others go astray. The gay church changed God's word, as did the Mormon's, Jehovah Witnesses and numerous others. But the true word is available in any bookstore. Just don't buy the donominational brand bible and your all set. I suggest a plain New American Standard. They translate from the original language as exactly as possible without paraphrasing etc. And they are not translating for any particular denomination. The idea that God's word has been altered because it has passed through many hands is not true.

The translating was done by the Lockman Foundation.

The Fourfold Aim of the Lockman Foundation

1. These publications shall be true to the original Hebrew and Greek.

2.They shall be grammatically correct.

3. They shall be understandable to the masses.

4. They shall give the Lord Jesus Christ His proper place, the place which the Word gives Him; therefore, no work will ever be personalized.
