David:

Interesting to consider the possible percentage of recent volume attributable to U.S.Bancorp; Given your comment that they had to file with the SEC within ten days of reaching 5% ownership;

1. Given that they filed on Tuesday; 3/10/98

2. Assuming the requirement is ten "calendar days" to file

3. Assuming they didn't file earlier than the requirement

4. They must have reached the 5% mark about Friday ; 2/27/98

5. The filing indicates 10.28% ownership as of the filing date

6. This would suggest that they accumulated another 5.28 % of the
150M shares in only about six or seven trading sessions;

7. This seems to say they accumulated nearly eight million shares in
only those six or seven trading sessions;

8. Approximating the total trading volume for the seven previous trading sessions ( using bar chart estimate since I didn't have the exact data) the total appears to be approximately six million
shares;

9. Based on the above quick and dirty review, there appears to be some inconsistancy between the approximately eight million shares (5.28%) accumulated by US Bancorp and the approximate six million shares of total trading volume occuring over the same seven trading sessions just prior to the SEC filing;

[ The above summary may have an error, or the daily bar chart volume estimates may be off;]

Anybody else have better data, or another explanation, or does anybody else care about such trivia ???? <ggg>

David: I went to the free Edgar site you recommended, used the search word "kiewit" but only got Kiewit's filings with no mention of US Bancorp's filing.
How, therefore, did you get the information about US Bancorp's Kiewit filing (without, of course, using US Bancorp as a search term)?

Thanks.
