At last years board meeting, Citrix made it clear that there was going to be competition in the thin client world. GraphOn, I believe is the inverse of Citrix's products. It allow Unix programs to be run on Windows terminals. Citrix allows users to run Windows apps from Unix clients. Cruise technologies currently licences Winframe. I know they are working to have their mobile product work with Hydra. However, I do not think they are creating their own protocol. I believe they are using ICA with their architecture. What is not clear is if they will be able to use their product in the future without the Citrix pICAsso addon. I just do not know how good RDP from Microsoft will be. It sounds right now that it is not that great (an old Nicholas C. msg:5127 shows what Citrix is going to have that Hydra w/ RDP will not have.) If they can use RDP, then you are right, they will not need Citrix. IMO, I don't think that will be the case. I may try to call the company to find out...or if you already have, let us know.

There still is a gray area of what Hydra w/ RDP will be and what the Citrix value add will be with pICAsso.

About the second part of your note: people waiting for Hydra. I hope not and I hope it doesn't affect earnings. Citrix did cover that as being a risk in their Annual report.

What I am hoping, and literally "banking on," is that Terminal Server won't be much w/o the Citrix add-on. And I know, Roger, you are banking on the opposite being true.
