I agree, but it doesn't mean that Nextel provides it. There are big gaps in coverage. Nextel may have a presence in all 50 states, but it doesn't mean they cover all of the US.

I don't think national coverage matters a great deal to most of Nextel's customers. A good local coverage is what matters more.

Nextel's transmission signal is very strong compared to CDMA. Its much better suited for data-links, internet access, etc.

I don't know what the strength of the signal has to do with anything. One thing that is clear is that TDMA is the worst of the digital standards when it comes to efficient use of given spectrum.

If you want anything more than one-way communication, you are going to use more of the available spectrum, and the TDMA will become more of a disadvantage.
