Torben, Re: Greek words. I am taking the liberty of informing the threadsters that "soprosyne" means "prudence" ,"moderation", "self-contol" >> If Henry would etc. << Similarly, if elephants had nimble fingers, they could be pick-pockets. << But why ask them to change? Self-help admonitions are rarely appreciated. Henry is not an employee here. We are lucky he contributes so much good. We owe him the right to be the uncorrected him. You are also a treasured contributor. And we, knowing full well that you are under no obligation to us to provide your insightful insights, owe you the right to be yourself and educate us with your exotic linguistic skills, humor, and self help advice. We can't demand perfection from each other. Those who post are under no obligation to the rest of us to do so. We should cut them some slack in appreciation. We can wish for perfection, but none of us are obligated to provide it. The secret seems to be to hit the" next" button when a poster's liabilities exceed his or her assets. Of course, that would mean we could no longer have the fun of abusing each other, but we'll have to get over it. Bernie. P.S. Please don't misunderstand me. Keep posting, be yourself, you're a bargain at our cost. P.P.S. Instead of asking for the heads of our posters, let's accept them for what they are as opposed to what we would prefer. The "next" button is handy enough for most situations. On the other hand, if we must post a complaint, we'll have to permit that too with the hope that it will be a complaint against an idea rather than a person.. Pardon the sermon.
