mnm, thanks for the report. In stat recently reported that
network hub and switch market growth shrunk to 2%(quarter 3 to 4 '97). from from avg. yearly rate of 18%+ That helps explain
the weak SEEQ performance.( i think )
Is it wishful thinking to think that SEEQ and the networking
industry will come out of the slump at the same time, in Q3&4?
<<off topic>>: Putting a spin on the future reminds me of a
company called Medar which was on a "fastest growing
companies" list a few years ago.The annual reports were
chocked full of hype as the stock plummeted from 14 to
2.25. Luckily I only have a tiny position, but it serves
me as a reality check.

MNM - Thanks for the Annual Meeting summary. This all tallies with
what we've learned previously from Seeq IR. See -

With regard to Gigabit, whilst I think Seeq might be justified in claiming
55% of the market in terms of design wins, the fact that the big players
seem to be doing their own stuff means they are unlikely to retain such a
percentage of future market revenues. (Shame !) However, this
should be a money spinner, and if their (smaller) customers become
successful, there is always the possibility of significant growth.

I reckon they'll do about $37m in revenues this year, which is still
significant, and will make this the first year for a long while to
show appreciable revenue growth.

All....

They have a new customer in Xircom which has placed an order
in the seven figures. Xircom does not want seeq to make any announcements until they get there new product out.
Then seeq will make an announcement with xircom. Within
the next month hopefully.

Do you think this announcement might be imminent?
It might account for the recent strength in the stock.
