It is not difficult to build a technical team to create a brand new OS better than Windows. And how would we define better? There already is an OS that is extremely stable and mature and would even be made better if it was on millions of desktops. Its called OS/2 4.O and would easily give Windows a run for the money if it was supported. Its not going to happen. If you want to run popular you apps you run Windows, no other way around it. I have OS/2 4.0 and love it but I no longer run it because lack of app support. :o(
