I'm not in any internet stocks at this time long or short, People do not see the reality that they can not live up to future expectations profit wise , but that don't mean they wont go up. At times I do see rotation by the Mutual Funds, were the sector starts get taken down a notch or two..When I see the sector (internet herd ) turn south , if one of them seems to defy that turn I short that sucker, as they will get around to taking it down too. The trend is your friend ( up to a point ) If your long this sector you kinda have to do what the funds do, you have to be long on every one in the sector and rotate faster than the next guy. Selling some of the high one to buy the cheaper one, to bet one of these aginst the others is silly, as assest allocation is what moves them around all the rest is hype. As an individual investor if you can't trade after hours sooner or latter you little baby will be taken out behind the barn at night and if not shot it will be badly abused. This sector is for the insiders if your a little guy I wish you luck. Just remember you haven't made a dime when you see your stock go up, you don't make or lose anything untill you sell the stock. THe sector is selling for about 50 time 2000 earnings , ( not this year , or next but 2000 ) maybe by the time 2000 gets here it will be selling for 50 times 2002, I don't know how much upside it has, I don't call tops, but I know if it does turn south, its got a lot of downside. -------------------- Jim
