Not even traders.>> Have you researched all stock issues that history has recorded? I think not. The markets do not have a mechanism by which serious buyers are somehow distinguished from frivolous or stupid buyers. The MM alone cannot hold this stock up without buy orders. And from where are they coming? Maybe from fools and idiots but hey... look at who we (collectively, not me) put in the Whitehouse! All it takes for ZONA to go up is adequate buyers of any intelligence class. Jim

Nobody in their right mind would go long this stock. <<< Hank, are you familiar with AVNT's price action after the incident related to the criminal portion of that case in April '97? Stock gapped down from ~29 to ~14 on the news, fell to 10, and then rebounded to 35. I think I would say nobody in their right mind would have gone long that stock, at that time, but they did. I thank my lucky ducks that they did, because I wouldn't have made so much money shorting it as I didn't become aware of AVNT until Aug 1, 97 (Asensio's initial report). It sure wouldn't shock me to see ZONA try for 30ish. BTW, I have never been able to borrow shares of ZONA, I quit trying after several attempts. I am currently waiting for Datek to acknowledge funds I sent them, and hopefully I will be able to build a position. Barb
