Actually, that decision would be at the discretion of your financial institution.

For example CTXS was often listed as unmarginable when it traded in the 70's due to perceived risk factors.

Several places do use 5 as a cut off line, however others use 4 or 3.50.

Not that we have a chance in hell of seeing that- but we could re-open right here at 20 and remain unmarginable at a few brokerage houses for a few days.
