IMO, Readware's pricing model is by necessity based on efficient market models. There is I suspect a time component and an event component in the price vs time result. Enter the dynamics of the marketplace, I think todays prices of GSTRF and LOR are slightly higher than the model predicts. The model probably calculated LOR profits to go positive in the 3rd or 4th quarter. The market response to the positive earnings was probably not modeled. My conclusions: Maybe LOR and GSTRF are slightly overbought using efficient market theory (so downgrade from buy to outperform) but where else can you find a better investment?

It will be very interesting to see the 2001 LEAPS price. I suspect the recent POP will be adequately incorporated. :(

Just curious, Readware has stated, plus I have seen a couple of other people say that Loral actually earned $0.06/share, not including the stock gain. Am I drunk or what? It looks to me like take out the $79.6 million gain (adjust for a 35% tax rate to give net gain of $51.74 million) and the following results:

net income common shareholders $13.7
Less: tax effected stock gain (51.74)
------
Net income common excluding stock gain (38.04)

Shares 243.6

EPS -Diluted ($0.16)

Loral earned $.06/share for the year without the one time sale of K&F. Read my post on earnings again. The K&F sale had nothing to do with the surprising surge in Skynet's earnings.

Am I wrong here or what?

Valueman, can you tell me more about the future G* launches from the Ukraine. I am fairly comfortable with the next launch from the Cape, but am uncertain about far east launches. They seem to be critical in time and size....from an area of apparent uncertain economics. Should we, and the market, be concerned more than normal, with launches from this area? Other than the information from G*, what is known about the launch facilities, current launch results and economic/physical status of the operator(s)?

Grateful for you input...
