The fact is that EGGS has made a Strategic decision that Wall Street likes...

Jim, that may be correct. However, in a normal market environment, the street would wait to see some evidence that they are making the shift successfully rather than jumping on just based on the announcement. Even well run Internet companies, without the negative track record that Egghead has, used to languish at undervalued levels for a while until the street was convinced the model made sense and management could execute it. Look at MindSpring and Earthlink only 7-9 months ago. This isn't true any more. Now, just slapping "dot com" on your name makes your stock double, even for companies with bad track records. This is not rational and makes betting on these stocks a longshot at best.

The dog may have a flea collar now, but it shouldn't be let in the house until the fleas have died or jumped off.

I weighed the positives too, and covered, only because part of my short selling was a hedge against my own new biz venture..
