It is difficult to imagine pricing going up anytime soon.
Several analysts and other guru's suggest Q4 and Q1 as a possibility.
The cycle tends to be two-three years and of course we are in the third year so logic would make one think its about time. But you can argue oil price cycles and El Nino, etc. and it does not hold water.
The Capital spending on Fabs was huge over the past couple of years.
The Taiwan factor, Korean factor. PC growth, and mbytes per system or bit growth is over 100% coupled with year to year PC growth continues at 15% per year. Even I read about the DRAM drive last nite. Well I hope the uses for DRAM continues maybe it will eventually use up that excess capacity out there.
